I am a golfer. As a golfer, I understand:
According to the dictionary, a code is a system of principles. A code is a group of guidelines and standards. Sixtyone has a code and it starts with four important words: I am a golfer.
These words are important because they establish the foundation for everything that we do. At Sixtyone, everything comes back to the code and the code connects directly back to golf. So, we revised the code a bit to, hopefully, make it easier to remember and understand.
Golf is special for a lot of reasons. There are many positive aspects to playing the game. However, easily the most important reason golf is special is that there are no referees or umpires on the golf course. When a golfer breaks a rule, they call penalties on themselves. That’s why being a golfer is different. Golfers have to do the right thing even when no one is watching over them.
The Sixtyone Academy Golfers’ Code is the system of principles and the guidelines we use to be golfers. To be special. To be Sixtyone.
Are you Sixtyone?
