“Golf cannot be taught, it must be learned.” This is the truth for most things in life. People who have a deep understanding of how something works can only show you how they do it, then it is up to you to apply those practices and improve upon them yourself.
“You can lead a horse to water, but you cant make him drink.”
Just because this is true however, it does not take away from the importance of having qualified teachers or instructors to help you. Some people just say things in a way, or move in a style that ignites your imagination and inspires you to want to put in the work in. The cool part is that we live in a world where you can access tons of golf lessons from many different teachers at the click of a button. Let’s do a dive into youtube and see if we can find an instructor who motivates us to get out and try some new techniques.
Spend some time on Youtube watching golf lessons.
Try a search like this…
Find an instructor who inspires you. Write their name in the Sixtyone Journal below and watch 2 of their video lessons.
Find a different instructor that you like and let’s compare their styles. Watch 3-5 videos for each of them. Then in the Sixtyone Journal make a list of 3 techniques they teach differently and 3 techniques they both agree on.
Expected outcome is what, specifically, we want the students to take away from this challenge and should be covered in the What you could learn section.
