Who is your GOAT?

According to the new listing in Merriam-Webster, GOAT, a noun, is defined as "the greatest of all time: the most accomplished and successful individual in the history of a particular sport or category of performance or activity."

Most GOAT conversations revolve around sports. Some are straightforward and clear. Wayne Gretzky is called The Great One for a reason. When you look at his records, it’s tough to argue against him as the greatest hockey player of all times. However, some GOAT conversations in sports can get more animated. In basketball, though one player stands out as the best ever, there are a few others who could be considered the GOAT. Football and baseball also have a number of players deserving the title. In golf, there’s the Jack vs Tiger debate. But, the truth is GOAT doesn’t just apply to sports. GOATs are everywhere.

When you look at the definition of GOAT, the dictionary says the most accomplished in the history of a particular sport or category of performance or activity. That means there is a GOAT in every type of activity. There is a GOAT butcher. There is GOAT baker. There is even a GOAT candlestick maker.

There truly is a greatest of all times in everything. Whatever you doing now or decide you want to do in the future, if you want to be really good at doing it, figure out who the GOAT is and follow them.
