New Zealand is a tiny country. But, though the total population is only a little over 5 million people, its national team dominates world rugby competition. There could be many reasons why this is true. One might be their haka.
Haka are traditional dances performed by the Maori people. The Maori are the indigenous Polynesian people of mainland New Zealand. The national rugby team, the All Blacks, are probably the reason haka are best known outside of New Zealand. The All Blacks perform haka before every match.
Haka are part of New Zealand. Haka are culture. When combined they create a powerful force that is tough to defeat.
