To have fun, remember the code

As a golfer, I understand that my for or unfun should not ruin fun for others.

What is fun? It seems easy to describe. But, as you can see in the video above, we can go from laughing to crying in seconds. And, every golfer understands that you can go from joy to pain in a heartbeat. Ask Tiger. He can tell you all about it.

Fun is actually difficult to define. Each of us have a different definition, and our own definitions change from day to day. What is fun for you today may or may not be fun for you tomorrow. That is why we, Sixtyone members, describe fun as the enjoyment that comes from being physically and mentally fit.

Fitness means being healthy, sound, capable, ready. As golfers, we understand things will not always go our way. So we practice finding the fun. We practice learning to do the hard part. We practice making sure that, even though we might not be having our best day, we do not ruin someone else’s day. We practice keeping the purpose separate from the goal.

So in this time of Halloween, remember. The best way to fight off the ghouls and goblins is to look them in the face and say;

I knew you would show up.

I’m ready.

I’m Sixtyone.

Let’s have some fun!

Big question/s

  1. What are some ways you find the fun when things don’t go your way?
  2. Describe a time when your unfun made it hard for others to have fun.
