Sunday Recap, 10-09-22: Self-awareness

"Self-awareness doesn't stop you from making mistakes, it allows you to learn from them." —Anonymous

Objective:

The first week of each month we focus on self-awareness. It is the panoramic view of how what you say, do, think, and feel affects you and the people around you. Self-awareness is paying attention to how you affect your world.

Space awareness is a bit it. It is when you take a broad view of yourself and your surroundings. It is very important to have a wide panoramic view of the space around you at the golf course and in many other things you do day-to-day.

Related Academy challenge:

What is self-awareness?

Golf words and phrases:

Use this guide and find one new golf word you can use on or around the putting green. Share the new word with a coach and see if they know it.

Big questions:

Ask yourself the following questions. Write what you think in your journal and share what you think with other Sixtyone members at the golf course.

  1. How would you explain the difference between self-awareness and awareness of space? Practice your explanation on a coach.
  2. Can you explain to another Sixtyone member the importance of self-awareness in your own words?
  3. In your opinion, what part of our code deals with self-awareness?
