Recap: Golf Talks ’21: April 14

Respect, does it come naturally or is it something you learn?

TOPICS & GOALS

  1. Define our idea of the complete and independent golfer, one who respects themselves, others, and the game similar to this move by Shota Hayafuji.
  2. Explain the value of getting the kids to the golf course.
  3. Who, What, When works for the parents too. Who can help? What can I do? When can I do it? We challenge the students to consider these questions. We have to ask ourselves to consider them too.
  4. Communications is a most. We have to be the best at it so we can teach the students how to do it.

TAKEAWAYS

  • The Golf Squad is a family.
  • The golf course is even uncomfortable for the grown-ups and we should have periodic golf introduction clinics for parents too.
  • Parents will have more conversations about their child’s golf development plan and how they can realistically help facilitate it.
  • Everyone needs to embrace the Clubhouse Google Chat room. It’s our communication center.
