ICTM: 10/03/22, Self-awareness week

Self-awareness doesn't stop you from making mistakes, it allows you to learn from them.

Objective

We start each month with self-awareness on purpose. Self-awareness is simply (without judgment) paying attention to how what we say, think, feel and do affect us and others. Becoming more self-aware is helpful at any age. Getting young people to understand the importance its importance can change the world.

Everything we do starts with recognizing how what we say, think, feel and do affects us personally and everyone we meet.

Expected outcome

  • Students should start to understand their impact on everything.
  • Students learn that judging (e.g. forming an opinion, conclusion or verdict) is not the point. The point is simply to notice.
  • Students should learn to appreciate the importance of tracking, writing down the things they do.

Activities

  • Introduce students to the HQ page and how The Game works.
  • Discuss with the students the five self-awareness practices we use at Sixtyone.
  • Connect how self-awareness applies to golf (no referees) and their golf development.
  • Encourage the students to do the Self-awareness Challenge.

At Sixtyone, we believe that you should play golf wherever you can, whenever you can and however you can. You’ll feel better. We promise. Hit us up if you want to find out what we mean.

Change. Think. Golf.
