How Jon Rahm won the Masters

So after a four putt double bogey on the first hole of the tournament, Jon Rahm comes back to win the Masters tournament by four shots.

Why? He didn’t panic. He had a plan. He stuck to his strategy.

What is your plan? Do you want to play better golf? What are you good at doing? What are you not so good at doing. What’s your plan to get better?

There are a million ways to swing a golf club. Every golfer is different. There are also a million ways to practice and get better. Matt Fitzpatrick has written down notes on every swing he has made for the past 12 years. Another golfer from a long time ago, Bruce Lietzke, didn’t practice that much at all.

The truth is that you have to decide what you want and then figure out the best way to get it. One way would be to watch videos and copy what LPGA and PGA winners (like Jon Rahm) do when they practice. Another way, the Sixtyone way, is to focus on doing the little things well so that they can become big things. How you practice doing the little things is up to you. But whatever you do make sure to keep it fun. Make it a game. Share your games with others. Keep playing!

Big question/s

  1. How good do you want to be at golf?
