During strategy week we focus on setting goals, creating plans and putting in the work. This week we think about our strategies. And, effective strategies are like icebergs. The results people see are the 10% that sit above the water. But just like an iceberg, 90% of effective strategies goes unseen. The bigger the iceberg is below water, the better.
Effective strategies start with reachable goals. Once we set our goals, the next thing we should do is figure out who can help us reach our goals. Then, we must consider our input. We have to decide on what we have to do and when we have to do it. There are many pieces to an effective strategy. Most of them go unnoticed. But they are there, just like an iceberg.
During the December Golf Talks session, PGA Instructor, Justin Klemballa, showed us the importance of positive strategic support when building our icebergs. In just a few minutes, he shared with everyone in the session the simple plan to becoming better golfers. His Enter, Down & Putts stats keeping strategy and Five Tees putting drill will definitely help make anyone a better golfer.
But just like an iceberg, the 10% is playing better golf, the 90% is in doing the work to get there.
