ATN session: Tuesday, April 27

You have to know by now what happens on the fourth week of the month.

OBJECTIVE:

This week is about fitness: physical and mental.

As golfers, Sixtyone knows that the purpose for playing golf is to have fun.

Fun, enjoyment, and being happy are connected to how we feel. Often, our enjoyment is not only about what we do. It also comes from being strong enough to recognize our weaknesses, set goals, create plans, do the work, and to be able to do things we once thought were impossible.

ACTIVITIES:

  1. Play mental and physical games. This one is hard on the body.
  2. This one is hard on the mind.

BIG QUESTIONS:

Do you understand these quotes?

  • You’re not as strong as you could be, and not as strong as you’re going to be.
  • Fitness is 100% mental. Your body won’t go where your mind doesn’t push it.
  • True enjoyment comes from activity of the mind and exercise of the body; the two are ever united.
