A game of honor

And, honor is cool

It is widely known that golf is a game of honor. There are no referees on the golf course. Golfers are required to penalize themselves when they break a rule. There is honor in telling the truth. But that is just the beginning.

There is honor in being persistent. Not giving up, not quitting is honorable.

There is honor in considering others, in being polite.

There is honor in being stylish.

There is honor in always leaving the course better than you found it.

There is honor in being helpful to people around you, whether they know it or not.

There is honor in deciding what you want, making a plan and then working hard to get it.

There is honor in doing the little things well enough that they become big things.

There is honor in having patience, being able to keep doing the work and waiting for the results to show up.

There is honor in saying no when something is wrong even if everyone else is saying yes.

There is honor in being different.

Yes, golf is a game of honor and that is what makes it so cool.

Big question/s

  1. Do you think it is hard to have honor?
