The Three Tees challenge is a classic. It will help you to build confidence in the short ones, the knee-knockers. The little putts you hate to miss when the pressure is on and everyone is watching.
The Three Tees challenge is a classic. It will help you to build confidence in the short ones, the knee-knockers. The little putts you hate to miss when the pressure is on and everyone is watching.
The goal of the Three Tees challenge is to set up three putts in a row from consecutive distances. For example, you could set tees at 1 foot, two feet, and three feet from the hole. Then you set your target. You need to make a certain number of putts in a row from each tee.
You start with the closest tee to the hole, then move back in order once you hit your target number of putts. If you miss any putts along the way you must go back to the first tee. Once you have made all the putts from all three distances you have completed one set.
Depending on the distances you set or the amount of putts you need to make per tee, this drill can tough! Always challenge yourself in order to see improvement.
This guy in the video below calls this the “ladder” drill. We use that name for this drill. It looks way more like a ladder, right?
For this challenge you will need three markers, a target, a ball and putter.
Can be completed on course or in your golf space.
You can use anything for markers and a target.
