In order to be ready to take advantage of this special event, here are a few things you need to do:
- Make sure you are entering your work on your HQ page.
- Study the Sixtyone Academy Code and be able to explain it in your own words.
- Look into the history of the Chevron Championship. You can start here. Also, find out as much as you can about Poppie’s Pond.
- Look up Dinah Shore. She helped to start this whole thing.
- Who is your LPGA favorite? Don’t have a favorite yet? Watch some swings on youtube and find one you like. Whoever it is will probably be at this tournament and you might even get a chance to meet her.
- Think about what you would like to do if you had a chance to work in golf. Would you want to be a player, design golf courses, run the tournaments, direct the television broadcast, be the boss of the company that sponsors the tournament, or something else?
- See everything.
- Ask questions.
