Glenn Alan Miller: Golfer (and many other things)

Glenn A. Miller is the Mayor  of the City of Indio, the largest city in the Coachella Valley. He is also a golfer, a very busy golfer.

Let’s see. Mr. Miller, in his current duties for the City of Indio, serves on the Indio Water Authority; Public Financing Authority; the Successor Agency to the City of Indio’s Redevelopment Agency; the California Joint Powers Insurance Authority Board of Directors; the Coachella Valley Water District Joint Policy Advisory Committee; League of California Cities Revenue and Taxation Policy Committee; 2X2 CVUSD Committee; and the SunLine Transit Board of Director, Alternate.

He has a long-standing long-standing involvement with local and regional civic and non-profit organizations, including: Board member for The Boys & Girls Club of the Coachella Valley; Vice Chairman of the ABC Recovery Center; Board member of Desert ARC; Advisory Committee member to the Dr. Carreon Foundation; College of the Desert Presidents Club; and several other organizations.

On top of his civic duties, he has been a Certified Golf Course Superintendent (CGCS) for over thirty years. You heard that right. He has built and maintained such prestigious golf courses as the Indian Wells Golf Resort and the Mountain and Dunes courses at the La Quinta Hotel and Resort along with the maintenance of many homeowner associations.

Mr. Miller is a busy man. Join us Wednesday evening when he takes some time out of his busy schedule to talk with us about how golf fits into his busy schedule.

Change. Think. Golf.
