Open Discussion: 2024 Golf Summer Camp

The Sixtyone Golf Academy will hold a golf camp during the 2024 summer break. The camp will cover golf basics, the meaning of being a Sixtyone golfer and prepare the students to be able to take advantage of the positive aspects of playing golf.

Camp Outline

Objective

  • Whether your goal is to develop into a golf professional or you just want to learn how to take advantage of the positive aspects of playing golf, the 2024 Golf Summer Camp will help you understand what it is going to take to reach your goals.

Format

  • The camp will be four weeks.
  • Sessions will meet at Shandin Hills Golf Course three days a week.
  • Sessions will cover:
    • Week 1: Self-awareness – Golf can not be taught; it must be learned.
    • Week 2: Strategy – What are my goals? Who can help? What do I need to do? When do I need to do it.
    • Week 3: Culture – People like us do things like this.
    • Week 4: Fun – The enjoyment that comes from being physically and mentally fit.

You can learn

  • Golf swing basics.
  • How to play golf and be respected at the course.
  • The benefits of helping others change the way they think about the golf.

  • Participation is crucial.
  • Every golfer develops at their own pace.

The Urban Golf Project: San Bernardino is partnership between public, private and charitable organizations from inside and outside of the golf industry who all recognize how the game of golf can help guide young people toward future success.
