The Youtube strategy

Watch and learn

Viktor Hovland is from Norway. The average temperature in Norway is 42°. That is not the best golf weather, but Viktor is ranked 9th in the Official World Golf Rankings (at the time of this post).

How?

He learned by watching videos on Youtube.

When it comes to golf, Youtube has a bit of everything. There are tons of videos you can use:

  1. Looking for some fun? Watch this video of Rory McIlroy and Justine Thomas trying to make a hole in one.
  2. How about golf science? Here is a video that explains why a golf ball has dimples.
  3. What about the rules? You can even find videos to help you learn the basic rules of golf too.

It is all available to you 24 hours a day, every day. You can learn anything you want about golf. You just need to have a plan. You could watch short clips and search for the secret. You could pick a popular Youtube instructor like Danny Maude or the guys from Good Good. Heck, the LPGA has an entire section of their website that is focused on instruction.

Strategy is our focus during the second week of each month. When it comes to your golf game, be like Viktor. Spend some time on Youtube. Use the information there to be a better golfer.

Big question/s

  1. What is your favorite Youtube instruction? Do you have a like to watch a lot of different shorts or do you have a favorite instructor?
