Sunday Recap: July 11, Awareness

Self-awareness is a skill. Anyone can have skill. You just have to practice.

OBJECTIVE:

The theme at the start of each month is self-awareness. It reminds us of the importance of reflection, recognizing strengths and weaknesses, managing emotions, consideration for others, and accepting criticism.

But this is not a test. There aren’t yes or no answers. Self-awareness is a skill that you practice. It develops over time. The more you practice, the better you get. Just like golf.

ACTIVITIES:

  1. We going to watch a few videos. The first one is Zaila doing crazy basketball drills. The second one is her playing hoops.
  2. Then when have a video of Tania Tare who is a professional golf juggler. That’s a cool job.
  3. What juggling tricks can you do?

BIG QUESTIONS:

  • What’s the biggest/hardest word that you can spell?
  • How much do you think Zaila Avant-garde practices?
  • How much practice do you think it takes to be decent, good or great?
  • Do you practice anything that much?
