Sunday Recap, 12-04-22: Fun, physical and mental fitness

"People do not decide their futures, they decide their habits and their habits decide their futures."
— F.M. Alexander

Objective:

Do to a calendar quirk, we get to focus on fun again this week. But as you know, for Sixtyone golfer fun means enjoyment. Fun means being, both, physically and mentally fit.

Fitness means the quality or state of being fit. Fit means acceptable from a particular viewpoint. Golf fitness means the quality or state of being an acceptable golfer from a particular viewpoint. Our viewpoint is being complete and independent young golfers.

Our viewpoint is being Sixtyone. Being Sixtyone comes down to how well we focus on our weekly themes:

  1. Self-awareness helps us recognize whether or not we are doing what it takes to get what we want.
  2. Strategies and managing obstacles helps us set our goals and plans so we can get where we want to be.
  3. Culture is how people like us do the things we need to do to get where we want to go.
  4. Fun, enjoyment and fitness is what happens when we put it all together.

Our golf fitness starts with the Academy code and getting buckets. It never ends. Golf is never finished.

Big questions:

  1. What do you think about your golf fitness?
  2. How much do you really work on being a golfer?

Golf words and phrases:

Use this guide or use this one and find one new golf word you can use at the course. Share the new word with a coach and see if they know what it means.

At Sixtyone, we believe that you should play golf wherever you can, whenever you can and however you can. You’ll feel better. We promise. Hit us up if you want to find out what we mean.

Change. Think. Golf.
