The conversations happen online, and start at 6:30 p.m. We try to keep them under an hour.
The topics vary, but always have something to do with Golf. It could a public figure explaining what golf does for them or a golf professional giving us the inside scoop. Most of time we are figuring out ways to help connect more young people (and some old folks too) with the positive aspects of playing golf.
If you play golf, have a student learning to play, or just interested in learning how to start playing; you should join us for our next Golf Talks session.
The San Bernardino City Unified School District’s CAPS Golf program is a founding member of the San Bernardino Community Golf Project. This is a golf introduction, development, and integration program designed to connect San Bernardino area students to the positive aspects of playing golf. The SBCUSD has partnered with Shandin Hills GC, the Center for Youth and Community Development, Sixtyone, and other organizations to help provide the youngsters the resources they need to develop into complete young golfers.
Please contact Sixtyone if you would like to join the project.
