I am a golfer.

As a golfer, I understand that swinging a golf club and hitting a golf ball can be dangerous to me and to people around me, and I must be safe at all times.

As a golfer, I understand that golf is a game of honor. I don’t need referees or umpires to watch over me. If I break a rule I am expected to penalize myself.

As a golfer, I understand how to separate the purpose from the goal. The purpose is to always have fun. The goal is to play well.

As a golfer, I understand that my fun should not ruin fun for others

As a golfer, I understand that I will make mistakes. Nothing comes easy, and I will work hard every day to improve.

Last, as a golfer, I know that I don’t have to be perfect; I just have to be better today than yesterday.
